IT Security Engineer (m/f/d)
Are you passionate about cybersecurity and ready to take on the challenge of protecting critical infrastructure? We’re looking for a proactive and skilled IT Security Engineer to join our Data Center team and help us build a secure, resilient, and future-ready IT environment.
What You’ll Do
- Turn Policies into Practice: Ensure our IT security policies are implemented effectively and consistently across the Data Center.
- Hunt Vulnerabilities: Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests, and lead the charge in closing security gaps.
- Prepare for the Unexpected: Develop and test Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans to keep us running—even when things go wrong.
- Harden Our Systems: Apply best practices to secure servers, networks, and cloud services against evolving threats.
- Stay Ahead with Patching: Oversee patch management to keep systems up to date and protected.
- Protect Every Endpoint: Manage endpoint protection tools to secure devices, servers, and applications.
- Review & Refine: Audit firewall rules, access permissions, and user databases to maintain a strong security posture.
As a key member of the Data Center team, you’ll also represent us in the company-wide security group, contributing to ISMS & Risk Management, ISO 27001 Audits, Client Security Assurance Requests, Incident & Crisis Response.
What You Bring
- University degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or a related field
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience
- Expertise in managing Linux and Windows server environments, network infrastructure, cloud services
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Cloudflare, WAF (Web Application Firewalls), vulnerability scanners, EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response), and SIEM (Security Information and Event Management).
- Familiarity with ISO 27001 standards and audits
- Good written and spoken English skills (B1 level or higher); knowledge of German is a plus

We offer a competitive salary based on your qualifications and professional experience. The minimum salary for this position according to the collective agreement is EUR € 2.471,00 gross per month on a full-time basis. Of course, your actual salary will be adjusted in line with the market based on your qualifications.
