Commercial Director Adria

 

What you would do as our Commercial Director – Adria Region

You will lead and expand the Commercial Hardware business in the Adria region, driving organic and inorganic growth strategies while aligning with the wider EMEA commercial roadmap. We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Commercial Director to lead our business across the Adria region – including Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and North Macedonia. You’ll be joining ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in access solutions, and reporting directly to the Director & Head of Central Southern Europe. This is a high-impact role, responsible for setting the commercial direction, delivering profitable growth, and strengthening our local market presence. You would also:

  • Provide full P&L accountability for the Adria region.
  • Lead all commercial and operational activities across the region and develop direct and indirect sales channels and build and mentor high-performing, cross-border teams.
  • Establish a vertical sales structure focused on end-user engagement, strengt our distribution network and partner ecosystem and implement pricing strategies in line with EMEA guidelines.
  • Optimize product portfolios and improve profitability, support M&A activities and post-merger integration and collaborate closely with Commercial Directors and MDs across Central Europe.

 

 

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has university degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Has at least 15 years of commercial experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role and proven track record in leading business development in the Adria region.
  • Has extensive experience managing multicultural, multinational teams in Eastern or Southeastern Europe and strong understanding of distribution models, pricing strategies, and sales channel development.
  • Is excellent leadeer, strategic thinker and has very good communication skills, high integrity, business acumen, and customer focus.
  • Is fluent in English and knowledge of any Adria region languages is a plus and must be willing to travel across Adria region.
