Purpose of the Job:

We have an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to join ASSA ABLOY as a Junior Product Manager within the EMEA team.


As Junior Product Manager EMEA, you will provide support to the Product Manager EMEA and will be responsible for management of the EMEA Architectural Hardware product category, as well as future product developments.


This role will require you to work closely with the EMEA Product Manager and regional Product Mangers on portfolio range management, consolidation and complexity and Supplier reduction, with a strong focus on accuracy of specification, design, quality and Business Development. You will ensure products (products ranges) meet the ongoing needs of our customers / end users, identify synergies within EMEA product developments and encourage collaboration and sharing of knowledge and resources.


You will be responsible for the consolidation of the EMEA product portfolios for Architectural Hardware, whilst maintaining the individual specific requirements in the various regions. You will too assist in the creation of the ASSA ABLOY Architectural Hardware catalogue for EMEA, whereby each region will be able to choose from a concise selection of Architectural Hardware, allowing the benefit of joint volumes and simplification of supply chain.


As part of this role, you will also participate in regional Project meetings and attend regular EMEA Product Management reviews.



Principal Responsibilities: 

•    Support and coordinate new and ongoing product development for the EMEA Mechanical and Electro Mechanical product categories  
•    Assist with successful range management, including range development and rationalisation initiatives
•    Build and maintain an EMEA market analysis regarding market size and share for ASSA ABLOY and competitor offerings
•    Maintain and update company information regarding competitor pricing and feature comparisons
•    Support the production of launch materials and packing to ensure clear consistent communication to EMEA markets. Focus on language translations, performance and regulation accuracy, gaining valuable regional and European knowledge.
•    Plus any further ad-hoc activities to support the Product and Marketing teams



Qualifications / Experience:

•    Degree level education within an Engineering, Business or Marketing discipline
•    Demonstrable interest in Product Management
•    Fluency in both oral and written English; additional language skills desirable

We are looking for an ambitious and driven individual with strong commercial acumen, who is committed to pursuing a long-term career within Product Management / Business Development.

The successful candidate will need to be self-starting, have the ability to work well alongside others as part of a team and be confident in leading projects if required. A background in Product Management would be an advantage, however, it is more important to have a passion to provide consistent and accurate support whilst being highly motivated with good organisational skills. 

This is a full time, permanent position with an anticipated start date in September / October 2020.
