ASSA ABLOY LH6080L Heavy-duty Stand-alone Loadhouse
Space-Saving External Docking Solution
By locating the docking system outside the building structure, the ASSA ABLOY LH6080L provides significant advantages compared to conventional internal ramp installations. Operators gain valuable interior floor space while avoiding major structural modifications to the building, making it an ideal solution for both new construction projects and upgrades to existing facilities. Because the docking unit is thermally separated from the building, the system is particularly suitable for temperature-controlled environments such as cold storage or freezer warehouses where energy efficiency is critical.
Engineered for Durability and Performance
Designed as the heavy duty version of the new generation of loadhouses, the ASSA ABLOY LH6080L has been developed to meet the demands of architects, builders and warehouse operators alike. The structure is engineered for durability and reliability across a wide range of geographical conditions, including regions with snow loads of up to 2.0 kN/m². All structural calculations are certified by an independent third party, providing confidence in both safety and long-term performance while supporting the building permission and construction planning process.
Integrated Docking Components
The loadhouse is built around a robust steel frame construction that is hot-dip galvanised as standard to provide excellent corrosion resistance and long service life. Within this structure, all key docking components are integrated into a single unit, including an Autodock leveler, dock shelter and overhead sectional door. The cladding can be configured using non-insulated profiled sheet material, 40 mm insulated panels or façade materials that match the design of the warehouse building, ensuring both functionality and architectural consistency.
Flexible Configuration Options
The ASSA ABLOY LH6080L offers flexible configuration options to suit different operational requirements. The system can be equipped with either a swing lip or telescopic lip Autodock leveler and paired with mechanical or inflatable dock shelters depending on loading frequency and site conditions. Loadhouses can be installed as single units or combined into multiple docking systems. Where space in front of the loading area is limited, a single loadhouse can also be installed at a 45° or 135° angle.
Key Operational Advantages
The ASSA ABLOY LH6080L provides a range of practical advantages for warehouse operators. Pre-assembled components allow for fast and straightforward installation onto existing foundations without disrupting daily operations. By placing the entire docking system outside the building, valuable internal storage space is freed up, increasing the overall capacity of the facility. The thermal separation between the warehouse and the loading system can also lead to considerable energy savings, particularly in temperature-controlled environments. In some cases, the external structure may also allow for shorter tax depreciation periods, depending on local regulations.
