Extended Reach via Telescopic Lip for Wide Docking Scenarios
This model features a telescopic lip that can extend up to 500 mm under standard conditions, or up to 1000 mm in extended mode, enabling it to bridge larger gaps to vehicles. The electro-hydraulic system raises the platform, extends the lip outward, and lowers the combined assembly onto the vehicle bed. After loading or unloading, the lip retracts and the platform returns to its rest position. The design integrates dual lift cylinders and a rigid telescopic guidance system to minimise vibration and maintenance demand.
Specifications, Load Capacity and Vertical Range
The DL6221T is available in standard lengths from 2000 mm to 4500 mm (including options at 2500, 3000, 3500 and 4000 mm). Its standard widths are 2000 mm and 2200 mm, though custom widths may be offered. It is rated to support a load capacity of 100 kN (10 tonnes) under EN 1398 standards. Its vertical working capability enables a rise above dock level of up to 415 mm and a fall below dock level down to 475 mm, accommodating a wide array of vehicle bed heights. The platform is constructed from 8 mm thick S355 steel (with reinforced 8/10 mm zones in critical areas). The control unit is rated to IP 54. The motor is 1.5 kW, with typical supply 400 V three-phase (230 V option is available) and the hydraulic oil operates across a temperature range of –20 °C to +60 °C.
Durable Construction and Surface Protection
To endure demanding environments, the DL6221T comes with standard painted finishes in RAL 5010 blue or RAL 9005 black, with alternative RAL colours available upon request. For environments where corrosion is a major concern—such as coastal sites—the dock leveller can be hot-dip galvanised. Its paint specifications cover corrosion categories from C2M to C5-I, making it suitable for rural, industrial or aggressive settings. A slip-resistant polyurethane coating is available to reduce noise, enhance operator grip, and improve resistance to wear, impact and chemical exposure.
Safety, Connectivity and Smart Monitoring
The DL6221T includes safety features such as toe guards, emergency stop systems and free-floating platform positioning to reduce risk during use. It is compatible with the ASSA ABLOY Insight digital platform, offering remote monitoring, diagnostics, performance analysis and maintenance alerts. This connectivity empowers facility managers to proactively schedule servicing and avoid downtime.
Integration, Accessories and Aftercare
This dock leveller can be integrated seamlessly with other loading bay systems like buffers, wheel restraints, dock lighting, traffic lights and the Dock-IN alignment system. ASSA ABLOY provides maintenance and support through its “Maintain & Optimize” programmes, delivering preventive inspections, scheduled upkeep and lifecycle optimisation to ensure continued reliability and operational efficiency.
