The ASSA ABLOY CI Polaris Sliding Blast Freezer is a heavy-duty sliding door designed for use in ultra-low temperature environments down to -40°C. Built for the food, distribution and transport sectors, this door combines high insulation performance with long-term reliability in demanding cold storage applications.
Its sliding design moves efficiently through the air, limiting the downdraught effect that typically occurs when freezer doors are opened. This helps preserve the internal climate and reduces temperature fluctuations.
The door seals the opening hermetically, minimizing energy loss and supporting consistent thermal separation. With its high insulation value and robust construction, the Polaris Blast Freezer is ideal for blast freezing and other deep-freeze operations.
The Metaflex Polaris Blast Freezer is delivered as a complete unit, including an installation frame with integrated heat tape, sill and aluminium rail system. The rail profile features an indentation that enhances the door’s airtight sealing performance.
The 170 mm thick door leaf consists of modular, replaceable panels with a CFC-free polyurethane core. It is constructed without thermal bridges and reinforced with a stainless-steel edge. The surface is available in stainless steel or coated steel, depending on project requirements. A continuous sealing rubber ensures a tight closure around the entire perimeter.
A stainless-steel bumper is integrated as standard to protect the door against impact in high-traffic areas.
