Marketing Executive


An opportunity exists for a Marketing Executive within ASSA ABLOY Door Group, reporting to the Sales Director.


The primary objective of this position is to:

Develop and implement a Marketing Strategy for the UK & Ireland Door Group and Project Specification.


Key responsibilities and duties are:

  • To develop a marketing strategy for the UK & Ireland Door Group and Project Specification team to enhance brand value, to influence customer specification and buying decisions, to identify and evaluate new product introductions and to extend the target audience for Group products and services
  • To deliver an effective marketing programme in support of the marketing strategy
  • To identify new market or product opportunities based on customer feedback or market research and support and drive the NPI requirements aligned to market research/opportunity
  • To identify and communicate news worthy content from within the Door Group, the Project Specification team and ASSA ABLOY Group to both external and internal audiences
  • To manage and coordinate PR activity with external suppliers and evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of service
  • To manage and coordinate social media content and ensure maximum value is obtained from external providers and to evaluate the ongoing effectiveness and value of external support
  • To ensure Door Group and Project Specification website content is current and relevant and promotes the business units effectively and adds value for the target audience
  • To develop and deliver marketing tools in support of the Specification and Sales activities, such as Trade Partner Schemes, printed or electronic literature, eCatalogues, presentations, business cards and giveaways
  • To identify, evaluate, and co-ordinate delivery of promotional events such as exhibitions, including involvement within other Group events
  • To support commercialisation of new products or services
  • To ensure all branding and business promotion is in line with Group corporate guidelines
  • To liaise with marketing teams within other UK ASSA ABLOY branded business units to ensure consistent messaging and increase overall effectiveness

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be educated to degree level in a Marketing related discipline
  • Have at least 1 years' experience in a marketing role
  • Have experience with print and digital media marketing and in developing brand equity
  • Be experienced in developing communications & PR programmes
  • Have previous exposure to common use design based software platforms, and ideally Adobe Cloud Creative
  • Have experience in social media and solution based marketing
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be creative and innovative
  • Have excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
