Position Summary
ASSA ABLOY is seeking a driven and result-oriented Regional Sales Manager – ROM, MP & Chhattisgarh (ENOX) to lead and grow the distribution-led retail business across Rest of Maharashtra (ROM), Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. The incumbent will be responsible for managing and driving revenue growth across these states, overseeing a team of Zonal/Area Managers, expanding channel partner networks, managing key accounts, ensuring timely collections, and executing demand generation activities. The RSM will act as the primary regional point of contact for all sales operations and business development activities under the ENOX brand within the assigned territory.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Achieve revenue targets for the ENOX Retail / Project / OEM business across the assigned multi-state territory.
- Drive overall business growth through a robust distribution-led retail strategy spanning all assigned states.
- Regularly assess performance of existing channel partners across the territory; identify gaps and take corrective action or escalate as needed.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new channel partners in line with company policies to expand reach and enhance market visibility.
- Plan and execute demand generation activities across product categories, focusing on end-consumer engagement across geographies.
- Engage regularly with key influencers such as carpenters, contractors, architects, and builders through structured meets and product trainings.
- Ensure timely collection of payments to support working capital management.
- Plan and execute local and regional trade promotions to build brand visibility and preference.
- Conduct structured product knowledge sessions for channel partner staff and influencers across the territory.
- Drive secondary sales through improved counter presence, retailer engagement, and product visibility.
- Perform regular market analysis across assigned states to support business forecasting and budgeting.
- Coordinate and manage a team of Zonal Managers / Area Managers operating within the assigned region.
- Any other work assigned from time to time.
Key skills & Competencies
- Sound understanding of retail sales, preferably in the building materials industry.
- Proven track record of managing large multi-state territories with distributed sales teams.
- Well-connected with regional architects, contractors, and influencers across the assigned geographies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to drive performance across dispersed teams.
- Strong communication skills — verbal, email, and in-person.
- High levels of ownership, integrity, and discipline.
- Proactive, organized, and energetic with a focus on timely execution.
- Strong follow-through skills; able to drive initiatives to completion.
- Collaborative, with the ability to engage and update stakeholders effectively.
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate degree, preferably in a technical stream / engineering.
- Postgraduate qualification in Sales / Marketing is a strong advantage.
- Min 12–15 years of experience in the building materials industry (hardware, sanitaryware, paints, plywood, tiles, etc.), with at least 3 years in a regional / multi-state sales leadership role.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
