Are you passionate about driving continuous improvement and operational excellence?
We’re looking for an Operational Excellence & Quality Lead to join our team at Industrial Door Engineering and Dover Roller Shutters. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by improving productivity, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction across our manufacturing, installation, and service operations. The role will be based between our production facilities in Northwich and Oldham with frequent travel between both.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and deliver continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma tools (5S, SMED, DMAIC).
- Analyse processes to identify waste, bottlenecks, and quality issues.
- Develop and monitor KPIs for productivity, OEE, quality, health & safety, and on-time delivery.
- Implement 5S and visual management across the factory.
- Coach and mentor team leaders and technicians in CI tools and problem-solving.
- Support quality investigations and customer complaint resolution through root cause analysis.
- Collaborate on capacity planning, workflow improvements, and system optimisation.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in mechanical or production engineering.
- Proven experience in continuous improvement roles within manufacturing or similar environments.
- Skilled in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Confident using data and KPIs to drive decisions.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety in an engineering workshop environment.
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or Manufacturing preferred (or equivalent experience).
