What would you do as our Maintenance Automation Lead?
Under the direction of Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee the maintenance activities of a facility, troubleshoot repairs and perform planned maintenance of the mechanical and electrical aspects of machinery and equipment, weld robot, safety, and compliance with regulations. You will lead a team of maintenance technicians, prioritize tasks, and coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
You would also:
- Coordinate and assist maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Follow maintenance procedures and schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime along with supervisor.
- Lead maintenance staff, by allocating work from the maintenance schedule, training, and performance evaluations along with supervisor.
- Maintain the inventory of spare parts and equipment necessary for maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to production.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives within the maintenance department and across the facility.
- Utilize lean tools and concepts to drive efficiencies of the department and operations.
- Actively contribute to business initiatives through participation and involvement at meetings or team centered projects.
- Prepare and maintain maintenance records and documentation as required.
- Support installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Participate in a safe and harmonious working environment.
- Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate policies, regulations, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.
What we are looking for:
- High School degree or GED equivalent required.
- Completion of a Technical School program and/or a certification of an Industrial Maintenance program preferred.
- 3+ years previous industrial maintenance experience required.
- Previous experience or working knowledge of CNC punching machines, lasers, forming presses, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.
- Fanuc Robotics Programming and troubleshooting.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLC programming with RS logic control.
- Previous experience/exposure to reading schematics and drawings. Specifically, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic.
- Ability to understand mechanical concepts and reason out solutions to problems.
- Exposure to Allen Bradley/Rockwell PLC and ladder logic.
- Previous experience using a work order system.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Familiarity with safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects under tight time deadlines.
