Planner

Planner 

B&B Roadway and Security Solutions, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a skilled Planner in our Russellville, AL location. 

 

What you will be doing:

As the Planner you will plan and prepare production schedules for manufacturing environment, ensures all materials are available according to production schedules and draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.

 

Job Duties & Requirements:

  • Create work orders required to produce material sequentially through the manufacturing operation
  • Manage requests from sales and manufacturing related to work orders and expediting for the planning/scheduling department
  • Coordinate and execute Scheduling activities for the respective area
  • Assure that operations have necessary materials to meet required manufacturing/production levels
  • Communication on regular basis to support sales and internal customers on product availability
  • Work as a team to create solutions on material availability and scheduling challenges resulting from unplanned problems: part shortages, sales increases beyond forecast and fluctuations in product yields
  • Other duties as assigned

 

The skills and experience you need

  • 3+ years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of MRP principles
  • Experience with MRP planning system (D365 Business Central) or equivalent.
  • Ability to understand and determine workflow/sequence of operations and capacity limitations
  • Experience in low volume / high complexity planning environments (job shop)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized and highly effective at coordinating with team members
  • Strong problem-solving skills that include the ability to consider downstream/upstream impacts
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and act with a sense of urgency
  • Microsoft Office experience required. Strong excel skills required.
