Talent Acquisition / HR Coordinator

Job Summary

This position will be responsible for providing clerical, administrative, and internal customer service support and managing key projects for the Human Resources team supporting the Hardware and Home Improvement group. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will coordinate interviews, support onboarding including managing background checks, travel coordination and general recruitment related tasks.

 

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will be exposed to a variety of HR tasks, including supporting the Sr. HR Manager and Human Resources team. This person will be responsible for data entry and ensuring data integrity in the HRIS systems. Additional duties may include direct involvement in the organization’s engagement, recruiting, onboarding, benefit and HRIS programs, as well as interaction with individuals at all levels of the organization.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

(50%) Talent Acquisition

  • (20%) Onboard new hires: Conduct New Employee Orientations, manage background checks, complete new hire paperwork, process I-9’s, E-Verify and enter new hire information in the HRIS system
  • (20%) Will be the point of contact for new hires and hiring managers during the onboarding process.
  • (5%) Assist with scheduling interviews and provide support for travel arrangement for candidates when necessary.
  • (5%) Assist with building / company related events by contacting vendors for quotes, ordering meals, etc.

 

(20%) Employee Data Entry, Maintenance, and Integrity

  • Enter, audit, and maintain integrity of all employee data in the HRIS (Workday) and payroll system (Ceridian Dayforce), to include payroll changes, processing change action forms (promotion, termination, cost center and supervisor changes, etc.) and entering employee data changes, sometimes requiring direct partnership with the Corporate Center of Excellence (COE)
  • Collect international company organizational charts and condense total divisional report for publishing on company intranet
  • Respond to employment verification requests as needed
  • Support internal partners with various ad hoc reporting in HRIS

(20%) Business Partner Support

  • Create new requisitions in Workday
  • Update Organizational charts as necessary
  • Authorize timesheets for non-exempt employees
  • Coordinate exit process and documentation for employee exit process
  • Support HR Business Partners with annual and ongoing HR projects, such as talent review, bonus programs, merit, and salary planning
  • (5%) Assist with the development and implementation of HR related policies and procedures including assisting with effective communication and updates as necessary.

(5%) Employee Programs

  • Support wellness and engagement initiatives such as blood drives, health & wellness fair, engagement events annual biometric screenings, etc. 
  • Engage in and support communication and execution of community events and programs
  • Receive, organize, and dispense service awards to managers
  • Prepare PowerPoint templates for digital signage

(5%) Ad Hoc

  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Maintain digital and physical employee files

 

Education and Experience Profile

  • 1-2 years of experience in a Human Resources / Talent Acquisition role or relevant work experience preferred
  • Associate’s degree required (Human Resources or Business is preferred) / Bachelor's degree preferred
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Analytical skills and strong attention to detail; strong time management skills
  • PC skills: Experience in Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint preferred
  • Experience with Workday or another HRIS system is a plus
  • A sense of urgency is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
  • Works well independently yet is cooperative in working with team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Work Environment

Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

 

Pay Range: $40,040-$62,920.

 

This “base salary range” is a reasonable estimate for this position at the time of posting. Pay within each range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, to primary work job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location. ASSA ABLOY conducts regular review of compensation ranges and therefore reserves the right to alter this range at any given time.
