Payroll Advisor - Shared Services
We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Advisor to support the Shared Service Payroll team based at Portobello, Willenhall. The successful candidate will report directly to the Payroll Manager.
Main Responsibilities and Challenges
- Process/check time and attendance information for all employees, including lost hours, overtime premiums and shift premiums.
- Support Line Managers with the administration of the time and attendance system.
- Process all aspects of Gross Pay, including salary changes, overtime, statutory pay, expenses, auto-enrolment and any other associated pay.
- Calculate Company Sick Pay and Statutory Sick pay in accordance with Company and Government rules.
- Be able to calculate Gross to Net pay including pensions, voluntary deductions and court orders.
- Process starters and leavers within the payroll, time & attendance and Access Control systems.
- Compliant and knowledge of all Statutory forms, including P45, P46 Car,New Starter Declaration, P60, SSP1 and any other related forms.
- Support in the calculation of annual and ad hoc payments.
- Responsible for Gross to Net administration and Post payroll reporting.
- Production of accurate post payroll reports.
- Ensuring Payroll deadlines are met, and ALL employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Participate in specific projects and activities as required and directed by Management.
- Provide data to National organisations as required.
- Support with the payroll processes regarding acquisitions across the business.

- Ensure completion of all relevant compliance training and procedures.
- Assist with on-boarding of new staff into the business by helping with Training and providing information and assistance.
- Help and assist other team members, even outside of own individual tasks.
- To be responsible for the health, safety and welfare of self and colleagues in accordance with group and local EHS procedures.
Experience
- Previous experience of payroll processing, preferably with ADP iHCM (NGUX) and Crown Workforce management.
- Payrolling Benefits – desirable but not essential
Qualifications
- CIPP Payroll Technician Level 3 or studying towards Payroll Technician Advanced
Any other duties required to assist in supporting the achievement of the Company / Payroll Team objectives.
