Please describe your typical workday "In my job I prepare quotations. I work on these quotations together with sales representatives and project managers in order to find the best solution for our customers. I have daily contact with customers for quotes, follow-up and solving challenges. It is interesting and never boring! I also work to find new business opportunities and new potential customers. I love running, I run 3 times a week, and I see every day as an opportunity to do something new and different!" What do you appreciate most about your work? "The most interesting part of my work is that I face new challenges all the time. Every single day is different from the previous one and I have the opportunity to learn something new on a daily basis. It is essential for me, both for my personal and professional growth." Have you held different positions in the company? "I started working in ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems in 2013 as sales managers' assistant. I gave them support in daily activities and in finding new customers and opportunities. Now, after a training period, I’m a “complete” indoor sales person. I’m really proud of that." How would you describe ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, as a company, in three words? "Structured, innovative and stimulating." What is it like to work in ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems? "Challenging, exciting, hard. But at the same time fun and enjoyable." Describe a key learning experience during your time with ASSA ABLOY? "My training period to get to know the products. In the beginning I was scared about the new job. I didn’t know anything about pedestrian doors and I thought not to have enough skills to understand this world. Step by step, thanks to my colleagues who have taught and supported me I have become competent and independent. And this was great! I have grown professionally, getting new skills, but also because I realized to have potentiality that I did not believe I had." Please state five things that are crucial to succeed in your profession. "Product and customer knowledge, curiosity, politeness, flexibility, decision-making capability and the ability to work in a team." If a student or young professional is looking for her/his first job within your profession, what would be your best advice? "Never judge a job before trying it. It might surprise you like a job that you had never considered, in an industry that you never thought of, can give great personal satisfaction and growth opportunities."
