Senior Care is a growing business are within Assa Abloy Global Solutions with focus on developing digital solutions for our growing aging population. Currently we are present in the Nordics markets (Sweden, Denmark and Norway), North America and Europe (Nederland's, Belgium and Germany) with a strategy to expand further in existing markets as well as new markets in these regions.


Senior Care Nordics deliver solutions including hardware and software for senior care under the Phoniro brand. Our offering includes digital key management, time and attendance, alarm systems for care homes and digital visits. Majority of our solutions are developed in Sweden. We are looking for a Product Manager at Senior Care Nordics

Do you want to work within a dynamic, driven and rapidly growing team, all focusing on finding solutions to one of the world's biggest challenges, the aging population?  You will be part of the Product Management team, containing of four product managers and the Chief Product Officer. The team works in close cooperation with each other since the solutions are all parts of one common platform. Working here, you will be part of a dynamic team in the forefront of innovation.


You will also be working close to the business, both with our customers and sales colleagues. Senior Care Nordics is working with direct sales to large care organizations, such as municipalities in the Nordics, and we have very long contracts and relationships with our customers. This means, you will be able to establish a direct communication with customer representatives regarding their future needs in the solution as well as work in close cooperation with the sales team in large tenders.


What you will be doing
You will be collecting insights of the market and opportunities through market research, Voice of the Customer (VOC) and working closely with product and business managers in ASSA ABLOY to identify opportunities and requirements for technology-based market success. Evaluation of business models and formulation of opportunities will be part of your everyday work.


Deliverables will include business cases, recommendations to (or not to) invest in technology or development- and project proposal material, according to our evaluation processes. You will collect and negotiate requirements to define and deliver Minimum Viable Products. You will provide expertise to and lead programs from the research phase to successful product launch in tight collaboration with development teams and the organization that will host the result in their product portfolio.


Some of your other key responsibilities include:

  • Participate in customer dialogues and collaborate with our customers' commercial and technical experts, to deeply understand wants, needs, opportunities and tradeoffs
  • Responsible for collecting and making sense of new research findings as well as competitive intelligence
  • Balance technical product roadmaps, production costs, pricing models, performance and lifetime trade-offs with development teams and other internal stakeholders to enable sustainable and profitable product offerings to the market
  • Evaluate cross company technology platforms that includes Group Technology and other internal capabilities when making a make/buy decision.
  • Business development by identifying market opportunities, translate this into a competitive product strategy, requirements and align with research & development, industrialization, production, sourcing, connectivity and other teams and processes
  • Very good technical and strategic commercial understanding, as well as the ability to clearly communicate why and what we should prioritize to management as well as development teams


Our work field is our Nordic countries and travelling will be required when relevant.


What we are looking for

You have an academic background in engineering and/or business and at least 10 years previous experience from international product management and business development in a technology industry. If you also have start-up experience, we see it as a merit. A good understanding of business models and business cases, documented project management skills and experience from driving new business/product initiatives are important for success in the role.  You also need a strong understanding of customer needs and experience from driving market research and translating into business opportunities, generation plans as well as product requirements, particularly in integrations and digital eco systems.
