Mechanical Test Engineer

What you would do as our Mechanical Test Engineer


The Mechanical test engineer is a new role within our organisation, and you will be part in designing our way of working and how to manage the execution of projects.


As our Mechanical Test Engineer, you will be part of developing our next generation products and the related tests to these products. In co-operation with our development team, you will secure that our products are ready to be operational in our customers global environment.


Key responsibilities in this role:


•        Define and develop test plans for mechanical tests for our Industrial doors       


•      Define and develop test equipment for our industrial doors


•      Create test report and verification reports


•      Assess reports from 3rd party company


         •      Define and break down task scope into manageable pieces


•      Execute tasks in accordance with project scope


•                  •       Perform root cause analysis and suggest/test proposals for implementation


•      Design, build/order test equipment


•      Analyse and validate test results


•                  •       Keep equipment operational by coordination of maintenance and repair service


•      Communicate progress to relevant stakeholders




Example tasks:


  • Design test equipment for component or sub-assembly testing. This includes sourcing said equipment and making sure it performs according to expectations.


  • Supporting a team of skilled engineers, challenging their solutions regarding quality, safety and reliability.


  • As we are updating our ways-of-working and tool chains to provide a great environment for product development and verification, the role is responsible for making sure that we fulfill requirements on our products from a testing point of view, and that we fully cover and pass tests needed to launch a product.


  • The position as Tester has a very central role in the projects with planning and executing tests, as well as giving input for continuous development of testing methods, specifications and processes.



The skills and experience you need


To succeed in this role, we believe that you are a driven, curious and passionate person with a structured way of working. You are self-motivated and a natural team-player who is also able of working independently, when needed. Additionally, we believe that you are / have:


  • Experience in building test jigs


  • Experience in creating test cases and execution of these


  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a technical upper secondary school.


  • Excellent communicator in the English language with various levels in the organization


  • Hands on, always close to the action.
