Yale EMEA - Junior Product Manger

This role will report to the Product Manager Yale EMEA and can be based flexibly across Europe. 

 

 

Purpose of the Role:

You will be joining the Yale EMEA product team responsible for supporting the product management of the Yale Mechanical Product Range (locks & door hardware). We are looking for an individual that has previous experience as an Assistant Product Manager and is now looking for their next step up, or a person that has had a Junior Product Management role and is looking to move to a larger brand / organisation, to gain more experience.

 

The role will play a significant part in growing the Yale product range through product innovation and supporting all aspects of the product lifecycle in order to create and deliver market leading products and customer satisfaction, whilst simultaneously providing long-term value for the company.

 

Principle Responsibilities: 

  • Manage, support and coordinate new and ongoing product development of the assigned product categories in support of the EMEA regions / markets

  • Support in driving the product strategy in collaboration within the EMEA regions in order to increase sales by:

    • Maintaining and updating company information of competitor pricing and feature comparisons

    • Working with the regional Product Managers to understand their needs and ensure these are captured, to include product features, local regulatory requirements and tools required for a successful launch

    • Supporting the launch of new ranges and phasing out of old products

  • Manage and support projects, ensuring the Gateway Process is followed and approval is gained at each stage

  • Work with marketing on packaging, instructions, product branding and launch materials

  • Support the E-commerce and PIM team by having the right product information to set products up correctly online and within our PIM system 

  • Help product teams to build knowledge and expertise and provide technical support where necessary

  • Any other duties required to assist in supporting the achievement of Company objectives

 

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • A university degree in Business or related discipline, with some related post graduate work experience

  • Proven work experience of Assistant Product Management, Junior Product Management or Project Management roles, ideally a minimum of 2 years

  • Demonstrate an interest in Product Management

  • Ability to influence and work in cross-functional teams without formal authority

  • Good team player who understands the importance of meeting deadlines and who thrives in a busy, challenging environment

  • A systematic thinker who uses data, customer and stakeholder insight to drive informed decision making

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively and influence at all levels of an organisation

  • Experience of working in multi-cultural teams and within an international working environment

  • Willingness to travel as the the job will require some UK & European travel to support engagement, co-operation and deployment of activities (up to 10%)
