Manager, Supply Chain Indirect


Are you an experienced Supply Chain Manager looking for a new opportunity? If so, ASSA ABLOY in New Haven, CT is seeking a Suppy Chain Manager. This role reports to the VP of Supply Chain for the Americas division and will join a dynamic, global team. The role will be located in New Haven, CT.


You will work closely with internal key stakeholders to develop and administer strategic initiatives within all indirection sourcing categories including, HR, Marketing, Plant MRO, Fleet, Office, Travel, and IT. Specific responsibilities will include the development of category strategies, supplier negotiations, contracting, integration with business units, identification of cost savings opportunities, and overall management of supplier relationships.


Additional responsibilities include:


  • Source and procure all indirect services (non-raw material) across the Americas' business locations, inclusive of all non-raw material procurement at the corporate shared service level.
  • Work with the supplier base to continually identify process improvements and cost reduction opportunities, driving to an annual 3% minimum hard dollar cost savings.
  • Integrate strategic procurement activities with business unit representatives where required.
  • Lead the Americas Indirect Supply Chain Council for ASSA ABLOY and participate on the Global Steering Committee - Indirect at the ASSA ABLOY Group level.
  • Report category activities to the organization on a regular basis.
  • Establish corporate and business level scorecards on indirect spend which include key metrics and behavioral spend drivers.
  • Support the entire corporate sourcing function in process and performance management activities.
  • Drive improvements to overall data integrity and visibility.




BS Business Management/Supply Management.


A minimum of5 years of experience in a strategic supply chain role within a multi-site, manufacturing environment is required. A minimum of 3 years of experience managing indirect spend. Experience in e-auction is highly preferred. 


You must have good interpersonal skills. The ability to manage at various levels of the organization. An analytical individual who has the ability to be strategic and tactical. A long term thinker, with the ability to drive short-term operational objectives is the ideal candidate.


You must possess strong negotiation skills.
