This position will be located in the CECO facility in Milan, TN.  CECO has one of the largest production facilities in the industry, embracing automation through technology and innovation.  CECO can provide most types and styles of steel doors and frames and is one of the few manufacturers able to deliver both custom and standard doors and frames on the same order.  CECO is a member of the ASSA ABLOY Door Group.  This position is a Door Group position, with significant infrastructure and services for the group hosted out of the Milan data center. 


As the IT Systems Administrator you will design, deliver, and proactively maintain critical business systems architecture.  This position acts as the technical lead for the systems administration function.  You will research, recommend and execute technical solutions to business objectives, with consideration of TCO, quality, reliability, urgency of need and business alignment.  This position will assist with business discovery, and helps to develop written specifications and guidelines to perform the functions of the job.  This is a great opportunity for the right candidate!


Responsibilities you would have:

Designs, installs, configures, and maintains the organization's Highly Available Virtual environment, enterprise shared storage, operating systems and applications both on-prem and hosted

Proactively analyzes, identifies and resolves problems associated with server hardware and software

Diagnose hardware/software faults and solve technical problems, either over the phone or face-to-face

Researches, develops and executes server and application performance tuning and maintenance plans, including scheduling and executing repairs and upgrades. 

Proactively monitors, tests, and troubleshoots problems pertaining to server technologies. 

Works with Network Administration and Support Technician(s) to design and manage backup and recoverability model in keeping with business continuity objectives.

Work within transactional ticketing system, documenting incidents and resolutions; Keep users updated of status

Manage multiple projects and accurately reports the status of all major assignments while adhering to all project management standards.

Perform ad-hoc training for end users in the proper use of hardware and/or software

Maintain a service-oriented mindset, and strive for high customer satisfaction

This position has the authority to stop action on work until concerns are resolved and to initiate and/or participate in identifying and implementing actions to correct existing and prevent future occurrences.

Remains available to fulfill assigned "on call" responsibilities


What we are looking for


Preferred associates degree in computer science, information systems or related field and/or equivalent work experience.



A Minimum of 5+ years combined progressive experience working in a service desk environment, and/or providing hands on technical support.  Preferred past experience working directly with end users in a manufacturing environment.
