Social Media Intern
Job Summary
We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Social Media Intern to support our growing digital presence. This role will assist in planning, creating, and executing social media content across platforms, helping bring our brand story, product innovations, and smart home solutions to life.
Reporting to the Associate Digital Marketing Manager, Electronics, this is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in content creation, social strategy, analytics, and brand marketing within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The Intern must be available to work on-site in our Mooresville, NC office Monday through Friday for the duration of the summer internship.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with creating and scheduling content across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn
- Support content ideation, captions, and basic graphic or video creation
- Monitor comments, messages, engagement and flag relevant insights
- Help track performance metrics and compile social media reports
- Support campaign launches and day-to-day social media operations
- Research industry trends, competitors, and social media best practices
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure brand consistency
- Assist with influencer/UGC coordination and campaign execution
Education
- Currently pursuing a degree or recent graduate in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, Business, or a related field
Required Skills
Digital & Functional Skills
- Strong interest in social media, digital marketing, and content creation
- Familiarity with tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Deep understanding of social media trends and audiences
Project & Collaboration Skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Detail oriented with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy
Communication & Leadership Skills
- Clear, confident communicator able to explain social media performance and recommendations to cross functional partners
- Self-starter who can operate with autonomy while aligning closely to team and business priorities
- Strong problem-solving mindset with an eye toward continuous improvement
