Durable Steel Construction
Unlike conventional steel grades, S355 offers exceptional strength and resilience. It can withstand more stress before breaking or deforming, is significantly harder for extended service life, and provides greater elasticity to absorb the shocks caused by continuous forklift traffic. These qualities make the DL6211S particularly well-suited to demanding industrial environments where durability cannot be compromised.
Safe and Efficient Operation
The swing lip function ensures a smooth and secure transition between dock and vehicle. When the platform is raised, the lip swings out and gently lowers onto the vehicle bed. Once loading or unloading is complete, the lip retracts and the leveller returns to its resting position at dock height. The hydraulic unit is fixed to the rear frame to minimise vibration during use, while the dual lift cylinders and solid support structures provide additional stability and safety.
Flexible Lip Options
The DL6211S is supplied with a 400 mm standard steel lip that is bevelled to 80 mm, offering maximum comfort and safety during use. For operations that require greater versatility, a range of optional lip designs is available. A tapered lip is designed to compensate for vehicles that are not perfectly aligned, reducing the risk of damage and interruptions during docking. A straight lip is more suitable where vehicles sit at or below dock level, while a bent lip provides a smooth transition for vehicles positioned both above and below dock height. Each option is designed to improve efficiency and safety across different docking scenarios.
Dimensions and Load Capacity
The DL6211S Swingdock is available in lengths of 2000, 2500, and 3000 mm, with widths of either 2000 or 2200 mm. It supports a load capacity of up to 100kN, equal to ten tonnes, and offers a vertical working range of up to 270 mm both above and below dock level, making it suitable for a wide variety of vehicle types and docking situations.
Enhanced Surface Protection
To ensure long-lasting performance in different environments, the DL6211S can be supplied in a range of surface finishes. The standard design is painted in RAL 5010 blue or RAL 9005 black, while optional colours can be specified to meet individual requirements. For more demanding conditions, the dock leveller can be hot-dip galvanised for increased corrosion protection, making it ideal for saline or coastal applications. In addition, polyurethane slip-resistant coatings are available to improve operator safety, reduce noise levels, and provide added durability against wear, impact, and chemical exposure.
Integration and Accessories
The Swingdock integrates easily with ASSA ABLOY docking control systems, creating a fully connected and efficient loading bay. It can also be equipped with a wide range of accessories to enhance functionality and safety, including buffers, wheel chocks, dock lights, traffic lights, and the Dock-IN system for precise vehicle positioning.
Service and Connectivity
The DL6211S can be connected to ASSA ABLOY Insight, providing remote access to real-time performance data and maintenance alerts. This allows facility managers to monitor operations more effectively and plan servicing in advance. Tailored service agreements are also available through ASSA ABLOY Maintain and Optimize, ensuring preventive maintenance, rapid support, and continued high performance over the full lifetime of the equipment.
