The ASSA ABLOY RP2000 is a high-speed machine protection door designed to support efficient automated processes. Its rigid aluminium slat curtain offers reliable protection against machine operation, making it suitable for robot and laser welding environments.

This door opens and closes rapidly, allowing up to five cycles per minute to help maintain a smooth workflow. Safety features include integrated pre-running and door-line photocells, with safety switches built into the side frames. It can be connected directly to machinery control systems and complies with recognised safety standards such as PL e (Cat. 4) and SIL 3.

The ASSA ABLOY RP2000 machine protection door is designed for industrial environments where personnel safety and machine protection are paramount. Its rigid curtain, made from anodised aluminium slats, offers robust protection against impact and deflection. For laser protection applications, double-walled slats provide resistance against laser beams, tested according to DIN EN 60825-4. The self-supporting side frames are constructed from galvanised steel, with options for powder coating in multiple RAL colours, while the motor and top roll covers are made of painted steel and anodised aluminium, respectively.

Advanced Safety and Control Features

Equipped with safety contact edges and integrated limit switches meeting PL e (Category 4) and SIL 3 standards, the RP2000 ensures reliable door status monitoring. Safety photocells prevent door closure when obstructions are detected, reducing risk in busy factory settings. The compact MCC microprocessor control unit delivers smooth, dynamic operation with short cycle times and allows custom programming to suit specific production requirements. In the event of power failure, manual brake release enables partial opening via pre-tensioned springs, ensuring safe and easy access.
