The Role:

Reporting directly to the VP of Human Resources, this role carries a broad and dynamic scope: serving as the primary on-site HR presence for our Monroe manufacturing facility while also contributing to HR programs and initiatives that support our wider employee population across the organization.

This is a high-visibility role for a self-directed HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-client environment. The ideal candidate brings strong generalist fundamentals, a genuine passion for the employee experience, and the organizational savvy to balance daily operational demands with longer-horizon program work.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Site HR

  • Serve as the day-to-day HR resource for employees and managers at the Record Monroe facility, handling the full range of generalist activities including employee relations, attendance management, disciplinary processes, and terminations
  • Coordinate contingent workforce needs in partnership with staffing partners; manage onboarding, timekeeping, and eligibility tracking for temporary employees
  • Manage new hire onboarding end-to-end, including paperwork, benefits enrollment, facility orientation, and system setup
  • Administer leave of absence requests including STD, FMLA, and ADA accommodations; ensure timely and compliant processing
  • Support site-level EHS compliance
  • Maintain accurate employee records and produce regular workforce reports including headcount, hours, and compensation-related statements

Employee Relations

  • Act as a trusted resource and advocate for employees, providing guidance on policy interpretation, workplace concerns, and conflict resolution
  • Partner with managers on performance improvement plans, coaching, and corrective action processes
  • Monitor employee sentiment and surface trends; proactively propose solutions to leadership
  • Counsel managers and employees with a focus on consistency, fairness, and alignment with company values

Employee Engagement & VOE Action Planning

  • Support the execution of employee engagement programs and initiatives across assigned populations
  • Play an active role in translating Voice of the Employee (VOE) survey results into tangible action plans, tracking progress, and holding stakeholders accountable to commitments
  • Partner with HR leadership and business leaders to identify engagement gaps and design targeted responses
  • Serve as a connector, surfacing ground-level employee feedback and ensuring it informs broader HR strategy

Cross-Organizational HR Support

  • Provide virtual generalist support to HR team members and employee populations across the organization as directed by the VP of HR
  • Assist with onboarding, benefits questions, leave coordination, and routine employee relations matters for groups outside the Monroe facility
  • Contribute to HR projects, policy updates, and program rollouts that span multiple business units or geographies
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on recruitment support including pre-employment coordination and candidate experience

Benefits & Payroll Partnership

  • Serve as a first-line resource for employee questions related to benefits, payroll, and HR policy
  • Partner with the Benefits and Payroll teams on new hire processing, open enrollment, and termination workflows

 All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
  • 3–5+ years of progressive HR generalist experience; prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting multiple employee groups or business units simultaneously is a plus
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • Relationship builder – must have the ability to pull people together and to rally the organization around common goals and common culture.
  • Solid working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance, including FMLA, ADA, OSHA, and multi-state considerations; familiarity with the specific requirements of California, New York, and Washington State employment law strongly preferred
  • Experience with contingent workforce management and staffing agency partnerships
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms; SAP SuccessFactors experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working with employees from the plant floor to senior leadership
  • High degree of accountability, discretion, and professional judgment
  • Self-starter who can operate independently with minimal day-to-day supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and relationships across a geographically dispersed organization
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred; ability to communicate effectively with a diverse, multilingual workforce is a plus
  • Ability to travel as required (less than 10%).
