What would you do as our Payroll Advisor – Shared Services
We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Advisor to support the Shared Service Payroll team based at Portobello, Willenhall. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager you will help support the end-to-end payroll process in a timely and efficient manner. A key focus of the role will be to work closely with line managers and HR to ensure all relevant information and forms are provided to enable a smooth monthly payroll process.

You would also:
- Process and verify employee attendance, including lost hours, shift/overtime premiums, and support line managers with the system's administration.
- Handle all elements of gross pay such as salary adjustments, expenses, statutory pay, and auto-enrolment.
- Accurately calculate statutory and company sick pay, and manage gross-to-net pay including pensions, court orders, and voluntary deductions.
- Administer payroll tasks for starters and leavers, and maintain related systems like access control and time tracking.
- Ensure compliance with statutory forms (e.g. P45, P60, SSP1), generate post-payroll reports, support audits, and assist with payroll integration during acquisitions.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
- Has the ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines with a strong determination to solve problems and resolve queries.
- Is analytical, methodical and has a good attention to detail.
- Has previous experience of payroll processing, preferably with ADP iHCM (NGUX) and Crown Workforce management.
- Has Payrolling Benefits – desirable but not essential.
- Is CIPP Payroll Technician Level 3 or studying towards Payroll Technician Advanced.
