About Kinetron

Kinetron is an international high-tech organization specializing in energy harvesting technologies — including induction, solar, NFC, ambient energy and IoT solutions. We design, develop, manufacture, and assemble customer‑specific modules and products for global industry leaders.

Our culture combines professional excellence with a warm, family‑oriented environment built on transparency, empowerment, and long‑term collaboration. We maintain strong global partnerships in markets such as access control, wearables, and smart buildings.

About the Role

Due to continued growth of our R&D organization, we are expanding the team with a Technical Project Buyer.
This role can be part‑time or full‑time (32–38 hours) and is fully dedicated to purchasing activities that enable fast, high‑quality product development.

You will work closely with engineers, suppliers, and quality teams to accelerate innovation and ensure that prototypes and development parts meet the required standards.

What You Will Do

As a Technical Project Buyer, you take ownership of the complete purchasing and supply‑chain scope within R&D and development projects. You guide components and prototypes from early concept through 0‑series and into the start of production, ensuring:

  • On‑time delivery
  • Cost transparency and control
  • High quality and technical reliability

Your responsibilities cover the full procurement cycle — from RFQs and supplier selection to ordering, quality checks, and risk mitigation. You work in close partnership with R&D engineers, suppliers, and Quality Control. When needed, you conduct or coordinate hands‑on measurements and verifications.

This position focuses solely on R&D and project-based purchasing, not series production. You also help refine and improve purchasing processes within the R&D domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project‑based purchasing for R&D development projects.
  • Prepare, issue, and evaluate RFQs.
  • Select suppliers for prototypes, 0‑series components, and early production parts.
  • Create and monitor purchase orders in the ERP system.
  • Calculate and justify BOM cost prices.
  • Perform or coordinate quality checks, including mechanical measurements and verifications.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Monitor supplier performance and address quality, delivery, and lead‑time issues.
  • Build and maintain a strong international supplier network.
  • Negotiate, evaluate, and manage supplier agreements.
  • Identify and mitigate purchasing-related risks.
  • Transfer purchasing data and responsibilities to production buyers during 0‑series/SOP.

  • Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 3+ years of experience as a technical/project buyer in R&D or complex technical project environments.
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical components and manufacturing technologies.
  • Experience with supplier agreements and mechanical quality inspection methods.
  • Hands‑on, proactive communicator with excellent coordination and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Fluent in english, dutch is a plus

Personal Profile

  • Analytical and structured, with strong ownership of deliverables.
  • Ensures timely delivery with the right balance of cost, quality, and feasibility.
  • Practical, solution-oriented thinker with strong problem‑solving abilities.
  • Builds trust-based relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Collaborative team player who supports others and seeks support when needed.
