We’re expanding our Commercial Segment, seeking to hire an HR (Human Resources) Manager  who will lead as a strategic HR partner, embedded within the business unit to provide tailored solutions to our national Sales and Marketing group. As HR Manager you will drive organizational success through its people. You will be responsible for combining a strategic perspective with operational understanding, acting as an employee champion and culture builder while also serving as a business advisor to leadership. 

 

This position will be situated full-time on-site in Berlin, CT and reports to the VP of HR for the Commercial Segment.

 

What you will be doing 

 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing strategic counsel on human capital challenges and opportunities.
  • Partner with leadership on sensitive HR matters, ensuring alignment with organizational values and compliance standards.
  • Lead employee relations efforts, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Design and execute strategies for talent acquisition, development, and retention, including workforce planning and performance management.
  • Align HR initiatives with broader business goals to support organizational growth and transformation.
  • Champion and facilitate change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and employee engagement.
  • Administer HRIS processes related to onboarding, employee records, performance reviews, and succession planning.
  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for national sales teams.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee concerns and complaints, ensuring fair and timely resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across multiple states.
  • Draft and distribute organizational communications for the Sales and Marketing division.
  • Maintain awareness of the business unit’s financial performance and competitive landscape.
  • Support cross-functional projects and initiatives across the division.

 

What we are looking for

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR management experience, preferably supporting decentralized functions such as sales or business development.
  • Demonstrated success managing HR operations across multiple geographic regions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to lead difficult conversations and adapt communication styles to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic problem-solving capabilities with a focus on delivering effective, scalable solutions.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Commitment to upholding compliance standards and company values.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, preferably SuccessFactors.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
