Part of Global Solutions, Key and Asset Management provides solutions that deliver secure, managed access to keys and equipment at the right time and place. Our solutions drive efficiency by removing the need for manual processes and record keeping. Good key and equipment management is fundamental to assure the best customer service, safety, compliance, and workplace productivity.

 

Your Role in Keeping the Future in Safe Hands…

 

As a Business Development Manager, Fleet for the Global solutions division of ASSA ABLOY, you will have the opportunity to become a valuable member of our Sales team, making a genuinely positive impact in the lives of our customers.

Reporting to the VP, Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the fleet sector (rental, corporate, government, logistics, etc.). This position requires a hunter mentality and a strong understanding of fleet operations and technology sales. The Fleet BDM will work cross-functionally with internal teams, including marketing, customer success, and product development, to deliver tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of fleet customers. 

What you will do…

 

  • Drive new business growth by prospecting, qualifying, and closing fleet sector opportunities (B2B).
  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for the fleet vertical.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Conduct product demonstrations and solution presentations to fleet managers, procurement leaders, and operations executives.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create targeted campaigns and attend key fleet industry trade shows and conferences.
  • Stay current on market trends, competitors, and customer needs in the fleet space.
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual terms within established guidelines.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Up to 30% travel time required.

 

What we expect of you…

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in business development and account management.
  • Ability to translate technical requirements or customer needs into a value proposition and specification proposal.
  • Excellent presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly (spoken and written).
  • Excellent collaborative skills.

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend, and reach.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 20 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to work sitting or standing for 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to travel and sit on a plane or car for extended hours as needed.
