We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Business Development Manager to support the growth of our RFID Passive Tag product line. This role serves as a key interface between Sales, Engineering, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and our customers in the US, ensuring seamless coordination from product concept through to mass production and lifecycle management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all project stakeholders.

As our Business Development Manager – RFID Passive Tags, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Acting as the primary technical point of contact for customers during the development phase.
- Supporting the sales team and customers in selecting the appropriate technology and products, and in preparing quotations.
- Translating customer needs into actionable requirements for the engineering team.
- Providing ongoing technical support throughout the product lifecycle.
- Serving as the liaison between Sales, Engineering, Customer Service, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment and timely execution of development projects.
- Monitoring project milestones and proactively addressing potential delays or risks.
- Ensure a smooth transition from development to mass production.
- Collaborating with engineering and production teams to track progress on new product developments through to mass production.
- Ensuring customer requirements are met through testing, feedback, and iterative improvements.
- Identifying new business opportunities and contributing to strategic planning for the RFID product line.
- Supporting sales teams with technical presentations, product positioning, and customer visits.
- Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
- Staying informed on the latest RFID technologies and market trends to drive innovation.
- Overseeing the full product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life.
- Tracking product performance and customer feedback to inform future developments and continuous improvement.
Your Experience and Background include:
- Degree in electronics, micro-technology, tele-communication, material science, IT-technology or fields close enough can be taken in account – Preferred but not required.
- Ability to manage channels.
- Business minded and ability to develop a strategy for the territory.
- Knowledge of RFID tags & readers & antenna (HF, LF, UHF)
- Knowledge of the various assembling technologies available for this specific market
- Flexible and highly motivated.
- Pro-Active and autonomous.
- Very good at communicating with people.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
- Familiar with ERP systems
- Based in the USA
- Must be legally authorized to travel worldwide.
- The role will involve 30% to 50% travelling.

The wage range for this role considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At HID, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
The base salary in the United States is $82,904 to $88,326.
