Keyed Order Editor

AA is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Order Editor to support our Key Systems Team at our high-performing manufacturing facility in Berlin, CT. In this critical role, you will be responsible for auditing and editing keyed orders used in the production of locks and exit devices that secure buildings. You will ensure the accuracy of keying information and collaborate with customers to resolve any discrepancies or open issues.
This role will report to the Supervisor, Key Edit.
What you will be doing
- Review and edit customer orders to verify completeness and accuracy of product and keying information.
- Research and validate existing master key systems to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
- Collaborate with sales representatives, distributors, and end users to design and confirm key system layouts and product functionality.
- Respond to information requests from internal and external stakeholders, including sales teams and customers.
- Provide technical keying support to internal departments such as customer service, order entry, and field sales.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure customer specifications are met.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to key system management.
- Support the Department Manager and Supervisor with additional tasks as needed.
What we are looking for
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in order processing, data entry, or a related role.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Proven problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness and ability to learn the principles of mechanical master keying systems.
