Finance Assistant
ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is looking for a Finance Assistant
Are you a detailed orientated and proactive finance professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are currently seeking a Finance Assistant to join our dynamic Finance Team based in Sheffield.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Finance Manager with month end financial reporting, accruals and prepayment processing and analysis
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with group requirements
- Monitor and identify quality costs incurred by the business to support cost control and decision making
- Support the processing of invoices and expense claims accurately and effectively
- Ensuring that all P&L transactions are properly recorded and coded in the finance systems
- Carry out appropriate checks and reconciliations to ensure that financial records and ledgers are complete and accurately maintained at all times.
- Raising recharge invoices for various entities in the group and ensuring the correct reports are sent to each entity.
- To support the Finance Manager and Business Controller with the annual budget setting process
- Assist with the preparation of annual audits and support the Finance Manager and Business Controller throughout the audit process
- Quarterly VAT returns
- Liaise with supplier and customers to resolve queries
- Assisting with ad-hoc reports as requested.
About You:
We are looking for someone who has:
- Ideally you will be part of fully qualified AAT with good all round experience in a finance function
- Previous experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role
- Strong numeracy skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to organise your own workload and prioritise.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience of working with Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage)
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communications skills and a proactive approach
