Your Role in Keeping the Future in Safe Hands…
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Lead to play a crucial role on our operations team. Reporting to the Director of Production and Manufacturing, your primary responsibilities will include leading a small team of production associates, ensuring proper builds are created to meet customer needs, and being a leader-coach, ensuring all needs are met with product assemblies.
What you will do…
- Collaborate with the Director of Production and Manufacturing daily to ensure proper builds are being created to meet customer orders
- Collaborate with the production team and, where necessary, cross-functionally, to ensure all needs are met with product assemblies
- Prioritize and plan builds and assignments for the production team, ensuring proper builds and optimal build quantities
- Assist and coach the production team, answering questions and providing support related to build assemblies
- Conduct morning meetings with the production team to provide updates and direction for daily operations
- Create and process work orders in NetSuite
- Develop, review, revise, and communicate Standard Operating Procedures
- Be a hands-on coach and mentor to the team, assisting with builds when needed and providing direction where necessary
- Provide motivation, support, and guidance to the team in conjunction with the Director of Production/Manufacturing
- Analyse root causes of production issues and work with the Director of Production/Manufacturing to develop corrective actions
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and 6S
- Work with the Production/Manufacturing team to develop and maintain production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Ensure a high level of quality control on all products including low quantities of damaged materials
What we expect of you…
- Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills
- Proficient in both written and verbal communication
- Experience working with NetSuite or similar ERP system(s)
- Minimum 3 years in electronics manufacturing operations
- Proficient in basic electronic troubleshooting
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a small team to meet production objectives
