Territory Sales Specialist
The Territory Sales Specialist leads sales initiatives for dock systems solutions within a designated territory. This position is responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and delivering tailored solutions to commercial and industrial clients including warehouses, distribution centers, and manufacturing facilities. This role also drives the sales performance and profitable growth in the material handling industry within Flatley Dock’s available product lines. The Territory Sales Specialist will be accountable to drive incremental business by developing growth plans and strategies for existing customers as well as developing new business with new customers within the assigned territory.
Description of Duties/Responsibilities:

- Drive sales growth within assigned territory by identifying new opportunities and managing existing customer relationships. The objective is to meet and/or exceed annual sales goals.
- Conduct site visits to assess client needs, recommend solutions, and propose customized dock systems including dock levelers, vehicle restraints, dock seal/shelters, and overhead doors. Develop growth plans and strategies to grow our existing Customer base.
- Collaborate with Engineers, Contractors, and Facility Managers to specify and support dock equipment projects from design through installation.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
- Track leads, opportunities, and customer activity using CRM software.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and pricing to position products effectively.
- Coordinate with operations, service, and project management teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Attend trade shows, industry events, and training sessions to stay informed on market developments and product innovations.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies while performing or traveling on behalf of the company.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
Qualification Requirements:

- Previous sales experience, preferably selling into B2B accounts within the material handing/warehouse industry or commercial building products.
- Proven track record of generating profitable and measured business growth in previous roles.
- Exceptional presentation skills
- Must display strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Must be proficient with the use of databases, spread sheets and related computer programs.
- Must be results oriented and self-motivated.
- Proficient at influencing customers at all levels, including the ability to develop credibility and trust with senior managers/decision-makers
- Requires the ability to function as a team member and contribute to group goals.
- Requires basic computer skills.
