Production Operative
What wold you do as our Production Operative?
To support the efficient production of various Lorient products, ensuring they meet customer specifications and order requirements.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Operate Machinery & Perform Quality Checks: Use various machines and tools across production stages, carrying out visual, dimensional, and physical checks to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Support Production & Packing: Work on extrusion lines, assist with packing finished goods, and help maintain buffer stock for popular items in different sizes and colours.
- Maintain Safe & Tidy Work Area: Follow all Health and Safety guidelines, ensure machinery is used safely, keep the workspace clean, and dispose of waste according to company policy.
- Report Issues & Ensure Equipment Care: Notify supervisors of any faulty equipment and handle all machinery with care to avoid damage.
- Flexible Team Support: Be willing to assist in other production areas when needed to meet deadlines and support overall production goals, while adhering to company quality and environmental standards.
The ideal candidate will:
- Manufacturing Experience: Proven background in a manufacturing environment.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot defects and accurately record data.
- Manual Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination and practical skills.
- Teamwork & Communication: Works well with others and follows instructions effectively.
- Positive Attitude & Commitment: Energetic, enthusiastic, and dedicated to the role.
