Brief Summary of the position

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Project Management, this position is responsible for delivery of projects for Skidata Australasia. Developing and maintaining positive and strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, achievement of deliverables on time and within (or under) budget, whilst demonstrating adherence to SKIDATA Project Management and Occupational Health and Safety processes, policies, and methodology.

The position works closely with the Sales and Service Teams to ensure preparation of accurate tenders and expressions of interest, ensuring project sales scopes are reasonable and include all necessary cost estimates (Labor and Materials).

Key Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities

Comply and follow SKIDATA Australasia Project Management methodology and OH&S process in jobs managed directly and responsible for.

 

 

Lead and manage day to day project implementation through whole Project Cycle life (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Control and Closure). 

 

 

Support sales team to define scope and specify requirements and use cases of projects.

 

 

Work with the Senior Manager, Project Management to implement, communicate and execute robust project management methodology for the complete project delivery.

 

 

Provide regular feedback to Senior Manager about process improvements required to maximize productivity and efficiency, reducing potentially negative commercial exposure in all areas of the business and managing risk.

 

 

 

Liaising with business stakeholders to achieve implementation dates in accordance with project plans and customer requirements.

 

 

Identify and perform Resource Requirements, plan, maintain and optimize Project team resource allocation.

Assign individual responsibilities using both direct and sub-contract labor.

 

 

Periodic consolidation of individual project pipeline on contribution to Skidata Australasia portfolio.

Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements

 

 

Work with key internal and external stakeholders to develop and maximize customer relationships.

Escalate internal and external risks / issues to assure a successful resolution.

 

 

Execute and monitor project budget, costs and GPII for projects directly managed and responsible for

 

 

Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensure timely and accurate invoice and monitor receivables for projects. Report any variation and ensure completion documentation is completed and appropriately filed.

 

Support the National Project Management strategy to support profitable growth

 

 

Facilitate risk assessment activities that comply with Australian Standards and in accordance with the client’s contract specifications.

 

Hold regular status meetings with project team and provide succinct weekly project status update to Northern Region Operations Manager.

 

 

Ensure project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately.

 

 

Liaise with the Pre-Installation team to ensure that pre-installation (Hardware and Software) of jobs is completed correctly.

 

 

Personal effort registration completed on time and in full

 

 

Provide support to sales to ensure tender responses and expressions of interest are submitted in a manner that is sound and commercially advantageous.

This includes completeness of scope, technical support, cost estimates and forecast project delivery timelines as required.

 

 

Achieve Business KPI’s as jointly agreed.

 

 

Complete Skidata skill development training on time and manner

 

 

Coordinate and Document project completion and facilitate proper handover to the Field Service team for each project.

Qualifications and Experience

Education:

IT or Technical related qualification. Project Management and Leadership trainings.

Years of experience:

3 years’ minimum experience in working with technology-based products or services and at least 2 years’ experience as Manager of technical teams or as Field Project Manager.

 

Skills and Knowledge (functional and methodical)

  • Strong computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Well developed soft skills, and good communication.
  • Result orientations, understanding project commercials and economics.
  • Understand Software Services, IT platforms, hosting services, networking.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate with people at all different levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to positively influence others to achieve results in the best interest of the business.
  • Strong planning, organizing and evaluation skills.
  • Willingness to learn and be coached on project management principles and methodology.
  • A focus on continuous improvement.
  • Contracts savvy
  • Working knowledge of OH&S regulations and requirements.
