Job Summary:
We are seeking an innovative and results-oriented General Manager to lead our business located in Lindon, Utah.  This individual will lead the transformation of our manufacturing facility to one aligned with lean principles and processes. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, ensuring profitability, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, prioritizing customer satisfaction, and empowering employee growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully implementing lean methodologies in traditional manufacturing settings, navigating organizational change while maintaining and owning P&L (Profit and Loss) accountability for the entire business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategies to guide the organization through the transition toward lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Lean Transformation: Lead initiatives for the business to become more efficient and effective by eliminating waste and instilling a mindset of continuous improvement at all levels.
  • P&L Management: Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring profitability.
  • Customer Focus: Prioritize customer satisfaction and loyalty by ensuring products and services consistently meet or exceed expectations.
  • Employee Development: Foster a supportive environment that empowers employees, promotes skill development, and builds a culture of engagement, professional investment and innovation.
  • Operational Excellence: Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress toward business goals, emphasizing safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.  Work closely with remote shared services to efficiently align efforts to deliver to the needs of the business.
  • Change Management: Navigate organizational and cultural change while gaining buy-in from stakeholders at all levels to ensure the success of key initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, internal and off-site teams to support transformation efforts.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including those related to waste treatment and overall environmental responsibility, and ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.
  • Local Leadership:  Actively engage/communicate with all levels of the organization; drive efforts to promote employee engagement.  Promote and foster a culture of collaboration, cooperation and communication.

Requirements / Education:

· Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Engineering

· 10+ Years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, managing and developing professional and hourly resources

· Experience in Product Management, New Product Development, and Product Pricing & ‘go to market’ strategies

· Must be self-directed, well organized and have good follow-up skills

· Record of continuous improvement success

· Strong business financial acumen

· Supply chain management experience

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Strong leadership capabilities and interpersonal skills

· Solid PC skills, including MS Office applications

· Proficient ERP experience

 

This role is onsite in the Office in Lindon, Utah. No remote work available.
