Director, Supply Management - Indirect Spend & Services

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Director of Supply Chain to lead and oversee the ongoing development and execution of our overall supply chain strategy while leading a team of managers responsible for Production Planning, Procurement, and Product data management groups. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading these critical functions in Supply Chain to support the organization’s goals and strategy.

 

What you will be doing:

 

Category Strategy & Sourcing

  • Develop and implement multi-year category strategies for all major indirect spend areas.
  • Conduct market analysis, spend assessments, and supplier evaluations to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvement, and supplier consolidation.
  • Lead competitive bid events (RFPs, RFQs, e-auctions), negotiations, contract development, and supplier onboarding.

 

Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)

  • Manage supplier performance through regular business reviews, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong strategic partnerships that support Entrance Systems’ operational, engineering, and corporate objectives.
  • Ensure suppliers meet standards for quality, delivery, compliance, and sustainability.

 

Operational & Financial Impact

  • Deliver measurable cost reductions, value creation, and budget alignment for indirect categories.
  • Track performance against annual procurement goals and report results to senior leadership.
  • Support capital expenditure procurement and ensure adherence to project timelines and objectives.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Engineering Services, Operations, HR, Facilities, IT, Finance, and Corporate Procurement teams.
  • Influence stakeholders to drive adoption of preferred suppliers, standardized processes, and optimized category strategies.
  • Support business area / segment procurement initiatives, including digital transformation and supplier risk management.

 

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure procurement activities align with corporate policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain contract documentation, supplier records, and purchase agreements.
  • Support audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.

 

The skills and experience you need:

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field required.
  • 5+ years experience in indirect procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing.
  • Experience within manufacturing, industrial products, or engineered solutions environments preferred.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive change.
  • Solid understanding of ERP systems, procurement platforms, and data analytics tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred Certifications

  • CPSM, CSCP, CPM, or equivalent procurement/supply chain certifications (preferred but not required).

  • Improved supplier performance and reduced supplier risk.
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder satisfaction.
