What you would do as our Quality Engineer
To support our ongoing quality initiatives, we are now seeking a positive and engaged Quality Engineer who is motivated by the combination of technology, people, and problem-solving.

The position is based in Mölnlycke, and you will report to the Quality Manager. Together with the rest of the quality team and colleagues across the organization, we work in a structured way to ensure the quality of ASSA ABLOY’s products and services.

As a Quality Engineer, you will work broadly within the quality area, supporting our production which includes both machining and assembly. You’ll be part of a team of six colleagues in various roles such as Quality Engineer, IQC Operator, and Customer Quality Technician.

ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions in Mölnlycke is a company with a long history but also new challenges and opportunities for those who are interested in working in a dedicated and engaged team.

You would also:
• Lead and drive quality improvement projects and the development of systematic quality work.
• Support production managers and product teams in their daily quality efforts.
• Manage cross-functional projects in response to major quality issues.
• Train and guide staff in using relevant problem-solving tools.
• Foster a proactive and structured approach to quality across the organization.

 

The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
• Has several years of experience as a Quality Engineer, preferably within the manufacturing industry, and holds a relevant university degree or equivalent experience in quality.
• Possesses solid knowledge and hands-on experience in problem-solving, root cause analysis, ISO 9001, APQP/PPAP, internal audits, and product audits.
• Is comfortable working with various quality tools and methodologies, such as 8D, 5WHY2H, and Ishikawa.
• Has experience in project management and delivering training in quality techniques and tools is highly valued; a Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is a plus.
• Is fluent in both Swedish and English, and able to communicate effectively in an international and local production environment.

Since the role involves leading meetings and driving continuous improvements together with production managers, product managers, and other senior stakeholders, it is important that you feel comfortable taking initiative and engaging in dialogue at all levels of the organization. Your ability to stand firm in your expertise, while remaining open, collaborative, and solution-oriented, will be key to your success.
