Our well-known and respected brands include Rockwood Manufacturing, Pemko, and McKinney Hinges. We recently started a production line for our Pemko products within the Rockwood Manufacturing plant, located in beautiful Somerset, PA.
Pemko is a trusted source in providing a diverse product line, including thresholds, fire/smoke gaskets, sliding hardware, continuous hinges, and ADA-compliant solutions. Our extensive line of high-end commercial door accessories help to make the world more open and safer for billions of people-in fact, if you have ever walked through an automatic door, attended school, stayed at a hotel, been in a hospital, attended a concert of sports even, and more, you have probably experienced one of our products.
We are now seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to help us drive innovation, efficiency, and quality on the production floor as we continue to expand our manufacturing in Somerset.
What You’ll Do:
- Support engineers in developing and optimizing manufacturing processes and equipment
- Setup, calibrate, and maintain production tools and machinery
- Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues
- Create and update documentation such as work instructions and process diagrams
- Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Train production staff on new equipment and updated procedures as needed

What You Bring:
- Associate degree or technical diploma in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, (or related field) preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Knowledge of or experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with PLCs, CNC machines, or robotics
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or ISO standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
