Biosite is expanding the team and is looking for an IT Technician to support its growth journey. Joining the Stores team, the IT Technician, reporting directly to Order Prep Team Leader, will play an essential role in Order Preparation – Shopfloor department to drive profitable and sustainable growth, whilst upholding company values.

About role of IT Technician

 

We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Technician to join our Order Prep team at Biosite Systems. The ideal candidate will be preparing IT hardware and CCTV for our customers based on requested specifications and should have ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues. This role involves ensuring that the customer orders are timely prepared and ready for collection by our installation/service engineers. You will work closely with the Order Prep Team Leader and other team members to be up to speed with schedule.

 

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Hardware configuration.
  • Installation and setup of Biosite’s software.
  • Testing and configuration a variety of the products (Routers, CCTV, PCs), to the customer specific requirements when expressed, within the agreed group timescales.
  • Identify, resolve, and log any issues regarding networking, hardware or software.
  • Conduct troubleshooting in person, remotely or by phone.
  • Escalation to Supervisor/ Management any non-conformance within agreed timescales.
  • Working to KPI’s varying dependent on configuration and order type.
  • Working closely with order prep and stores team.
  • Including additional ad-hoc requirements.

 

 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows OS.
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of IT hardware.
  • Good problem-solving skills and time management.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of multiple orders and meeting set deadlines.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and passion for IT and Tech.
  • Knowledge of CCTV equipment (trainings will be provided).
