Shipping Clerk

Starting rate:  $17.00 - $18.00 per hour depending on experience.

Job Summary 

This position is required to manage, organize and ensure efficient daily outbound shipments to customers.  This requires the incumbent to plan, organize daily demand shipment requirements, arrange logistics, ensure all associated shipping documents , and to coordinate the warehouse packaging  associates for efficient on time delivery.  In addition, this position requires MRO purchasing functions to support warehouse and plant requirements.  Daily interactions with warehouse , plant personnel, sales and customer service  is necessary for coordinated flow.   

Primary Duties and Responsibilities 

  1. Coordinate warehouse employees & planning follow-up on daily requirements: 50% 
  2. Shipping documentation and entry for shipping documents  : 40% 
  3. Daily production planning and shipping meeting /truck arrangements: 10%
  4. Expediting shipping requirements: 25 % 
  5. MRO purchasing and closeout of PO:  10 % 
  6. Any other tasks directed by supervisor or manager

Education and Experience Profile 

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • APICS certification desired.

  5. MAS or enterprise software skills -1 year

Work Environment: 

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment in a non-climate controlled facility.  
  • Safety toe boots/shoes are required
