Ready to lead growth in a high-impact role? Join us as a Regional Business Development Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving strategic growth, product development, and account management within their assigned territories (Region 2). 

 

This position covers:

  •  Southeast US (VA, NC, SC, TN, MS, AL, GA, FL, LA and part of TX),
  •  Additional territories based on physical location and account knowledge.

You will work closely with the sales, marketing, operations, finance, engineering and product management to identify and convert sales opportunities, develop new products, and maintain relationships with key accounts. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Growth (working closely with the ASSA ABLOY DSS sales team:)
    • Create and maintain an active strategy and sales funnel for assigned territories.
    • Analyze data to identify sales growth opportunities for our accessories brands.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to target and convert sales opportunities on regional, territorial, brand, and account level.
    • Provide necessary support to help the sales teams achieve their target goals as set by executive management.
    • Assist in monitoring competitors' pricing and programs.
  • Product Development:
    • Assist in developing specification opportunities through architectural presentations and collaboration with the DSS architectural team.
    • Share resources and application knowledge with end-user representatives.
    • Identify and communicate market opportunities related to new products and programs to management.
  • Account Management:
    • Actively participate in resolving customer and sales team issues.
    • Maintain and nurture relationships with brand manufacturing companies within the assigned territory.
    • Assist in determining appropriate buying programs for accounts.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry work experience.
  • 5 years of outside sales experience in the commercial hardware industry, including experience in multiple channel sales within the region.
  • Proven track record as a high achiever within the industry with documented results.

 

Other Qualifications and Nice to Haves:

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • In-depth knowledge of ASSA ABLOY accessory brands and familiarity with competitors' offerings.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently within a team structure.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and drive sales across multiple industry channels.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Must reside within the region, have reasonable access to a major airport, and possess existing industry relationships within the region(s).
  • Target metro areas:
    • Atlanta, Charlotte, and Orlando
    • Other areas within the territory area will be considered if there is a substantial number of direct flights to the assigned region.
