Part of Global Solutions, Vingcard specialises in electronic locking and access management systems for the global hospitality industry. We create seamless, secure experiences for hotels and their guests through innovative digital solutions that blend security with exceptional user experience. 

 

As the UX Design Intern for Vingcard, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the user experience design of access management platforms used by thousands of hotels worldwide, whilst developing professional skills in research, interaction design, and strategic thinking. The role will be based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Working closely with our Design Lead, you will support user research, create user flows and wireframes, and learn how UX decisions connect to business goals and user needs in the hospitality technology space. 

 

What You Will Do… 

  • Create user journeys, wireframes, and interactive prototypes in Figma that solve real problems for hospitality professionals 

  • Conduct user research and usability testing, learning to turn insights into actionable improvements 

  • Design user flows and interfaces for our digital services, understanding how structure supports user goals 

  • Collaborate on information architecture, learning to organise content and navigation in ways that make sense to users 

  • Contribute to design strategy workshops and sprints, understanding how UX decisions connect to business goals 

  • Document design rationale, user personas, interaction patterns, and research findings to support team decision-making 

  • Participate in design critiques and usability testing sessions, developing your understanding of user-centred design practice 

 

What We Expect of You… 

  • Currently enrolled in a programme with LIA (Lärande i arbete) placement requirement 

  • Studying Interaction Design, UX Design, Cognitive Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field 

  • Portfolio is a must! (We understand you may not have worked on company projects yet; school assignments, personal experiments, or any work that shows your design thinking is welcome) 

  • Proficiency in Figma (Required) 

  • Basic understanding of user research methods and usability principles 

  • Analytical thinking and curiosity about why users behave as they do 

  • Ability to articulate design decisions and receive constructive feedback 

  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and iterating on solutions 

  • Strong communication skills, collaborative mindset, and eagerness to learn 

  • You will ideally be located in Stockholm or surrounding areas, comfortable with hybrid work (3 days/week in office) 

 

Plus If You Have… 

  • Interest in accessibility and inclusive design practices 

  • Experience with user research methods or usability testing 

  • Experience working with Miro for collaborative workshops and ideation
