Lead Infor LN Developer
Job Summary:
Entrance Systems Division are on a journey to replace our Baan4 systems in Europe and North America with LN Cloud and we are expanding our Baan4/LN support team with a person that can take the lead in the LN Development related tasks. The team will jointly support Baan4 and LN Cloud until Baan4 is phased out. During this time the team will grow so this is an opportunity to expand your responsibilities over time.
As Lead LN Developer in the LN/Baan4 team it will be your task to manage LN Cloud related development such as extensions, workflows, report generation, master data conversions. You also will design, setup, develop, test, deploy and maintain data processing solutions to enhance the ERP systems, including the related tools. An important area of responsibility is about the execution of project activities & maintenance of the DTAP structure around live environments, project environments & test environments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day changes from support
- Lead and coordinate Project related extensions in close collaboration with project teams all over the world.
- Performs as a member of technical application support for the LN system.
- Works closely with solutions architects on planned maintenance and changes.
- Assist and manage data conversions on request.
- Have a thoroughly understanding of ERP database scheme
- Executes related performance tests and reports on this in relation of the agreed service levels.
- Own, maintain and optimize the DTAP structure of global LN environments.
- Creates technical documentation and procedures guidelines/work instructions for users.
- Thoroughly understands ERP security subsystem to assign appropriate system access to users at different levels throughout the organization and its partners.
- Thoroughly understands business practices and procedures to design, develop and maintain automated workflow processes.
- Works as a Systems Analyst with knowledgeable persons and its partners to help define user needs and develop data processing solutions.
- Analyzes, troubleshoot, supports with system recovery activities the ERP system issues reported by end users.
- Designs, setups, develops, tests, deploys and maintains data processing solutions and Microsoft SQL environments (EDI, ION / Mingle I.e. - Infor XI, Barcode (Infor Mobility) and others)
- Monitors batches, jobs in LN system.
- Performs system set-up & configurations (Vrc’s etc.).
- Develops & maintains interfaces using Infor LN/Baan.
- Maintains SLM server and license keys.
- Supports data migration, data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading (monthly solution dumps (PMC patches.
- Manage technical part of monthly release management.
- Attend weekly Baan / LN solution area meetings and report on tasks, issues, challenges, and opportunities to the solution architect & 3rd line support for Baan / LN.Participate in key user meetings and discuss tasks, issues, challenges, and opportunities with the business key users and business process owners.Being self-driven and take necessary actions on upcoming incidents and tasks.
Key competences & requirements:
- Experience from working in a similar role, including lead experience and/or project management experience.
- Good understanding of functional flows in LN Cloud.
- Good understanding of OS/ION in LN Cloud.
- Preferred good understanding of Windows Server.
- Good overview and detailed functional knowledge about the systems/applications.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s / master’s degree in computer science, information systems or demonstrated equivalent education and relevant work experience.
- 8 - 12 years of total work experience.
- Work experience as lead for IT projects.
- Minimum of 3 years of LN specific experience with parts of it for LN Cloud.
Language Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
