Summary:
This position is responsible for sales efforts and promotion of HLAD (Megadoor) Products specifically for Civilian Aviation Industry. Additionally, this person will be responsible for bids/quotes, technical details, including holding technical integration meetings with various A/E’s and other customers. This position will also assist with writing specifications, managing bid calculations, and the creation of the necessary tools to communicate our solutions with potential customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Candidate must be knowledgeable of the Aviation Industry. Candidate should be knowledgeable with industry standards, equipment, industry process, etc. in order to assist in designing the proper clearance requirements.
- Review incoming leads and develop designs.
- Discuss concept with potential architects, engineers, customers, and developers.
- Develop yearly and monthly sales plans with sales manager (sales situation, forecasts, customer and Architectural/Engineering visits and presentations) as well as other planned activities for the New Year and provide trip reports when applicable.
- Attend quarterly sales meetings and provide outline of current and future situations.
- Will be responsible for tracking in CRM all projects, contacts, quotes, etc.
- Will help provide and discuss load diagrams, preliminary details, etc. as needed. Will be able to run pricing programs and use appropriate discounts.
- Work with A/E’s, GC’s, and anyone else responsible with the integration of the door product onto the building. Will need to communicate the loads and tolerances as needed.
- Assist customer(s) with costs justifications.
- Review plans and specifications as required.
- Resolve any discrepancies found in plans & specifications and run pricing program and review for accuracy.
- Review bidder’s listings, develop project scope and submit appropriate scope and bids. Follow up as needed for status and develop future bid strategy with sales manager.
- Responsible for successful project turnover to the Project Manager. Review the comment on incoming contract/order before handing over to the PM and CFO.
- Work with marketing department to help generate leads, development of marketing tools (video, photos, brochures, web, etc.), and competition analysis, maintain customer lists (trade show mailings, calendars, etc.)
- Provide and update the sales forecast on a weekly basis.
- Review and communicate trends and changes in the market.
- Follow procedures as outline in ISO and review customer surveys and help make corrections as needed.
- Give feedback in regards to quality to appropriate departments.
Job Requirements:
- 4 year degree is preferred.
- Previous engineered and custom fabricated sales experience and background.
- Extensive US and International travel is required.
- Travel is required to visit A/E’s, General Contractors, Distributors, and aviation customers to provide presentations and technical training to ensure the clients are knowledgeable of product lines.
- Also required to attend various trade shows and conferences as needed.
