Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance Supervisor is responsible to coordinate through technicians, the repair maintenance and/or installation of machinery, tools and equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepares Preventive Maintenance Plans
  • Manages the installation of production equipment, generating preventive maintenance for each equipment, including a replacement parts inventory plan.
  • Responsible for Managing Staff Performance.
  • Maintains operational equipment availability above the plant-level target.
  • Implements TPM on critical plant equipment.
  • Responsible for selecting, training, motivating, developing, and facilitating staff, maintaining interdepartmental harmony.
  • Develops and maintains updated risk analyses (Machine Risk Assessment) for work stations and operations, and suggests and implements improvement actions.
  • Establish relationships and direct communication with equipment suppliers to clarify technical questions, keep equipment up-to-date, and coordinate training for our technicians when necessary.
  • Lead the correction of downed equipment issues, coordinating prompt technical assistance to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Coordinate with production on equipment availability for the implementation of the preventive maintenance program.
  • Perform statistical analysis of the maintenance area to measure the performance of the area's metrics and establish actions to improve them.
  • Develop, negotiate, and manage the department's objectives and budgets, as well as the strategies and action plans to meet those objectives.
  • Evaluate the condition of production equipment for replacement, upgrade, or reconstruction.
  • Participate directly in engineering and continuous equipment improvement projects.
  • Validates and authorizes the Maintenance Function's Operating Procedures and Standards (SOPs).
  • Supervises the manufacture or modification of machinery and equipment to process new products or to facilitate the production of current products.
  • Analyzes department operations and recommends changes to management.
  • Supervises the implementation of audits based on Mexican labor regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electromechanical, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineer
  • 5 years of experience
  • English advance
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
  • AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PLC
  • Problem-solving
  •  Teamwork
  • Negotiation skills
  • Effective supervision
