SCCM / Intune Engineer

Role description 

In this position you will be responsible for administration, implementation and support of new and existing services for Microsoft SCCM/Intune, as well as working with our partners for managing our global SCCM and Intune environments.  

In close partnering with our internal customers and external strategic partners, you will increase the quality and efficiency for IT infrastructure for our HR and Application services following selected ITIL processes and also planning for future growth initiatives. 

You will work as a global SCCM champion interacting and driving solution and process improvements within the service areas of End User Computing, interacting with hosting, network, collaboration and application management areas.  

 

Responsibilities and Challenges 

  • Ensure our global SCCM/Intune Solution delivers business value 

  • Drive a common global SCCM/Intune architecture 

  • Compliance with any and all related Policies 

  • Process and routines are well defined 

  • Identification of Critical Success Factors and Key Performance Indicators 

  • Process advocacy and ensuring proper training is conducted 

  • Continual Process Improvement efforts 

 

Tasks 

  • Support improvement of selected ITIL processes for SCCM/Intune services and Digital Workplace.

  • Establish the Service Catalogue for SCCM/Intune services in Service Now 

  • Participate in creation of a global agreed future architecture for SCCM/Intune and Digital Workplace. 

 

Qualifications  

  • You have excellent knowledge and experience of SCCM and Intune (Stand alone and Hybrid)

  • You have good knowledge of Microsoft systems and infrastructure technologies

  • Solid understanding of standard client/server, networking, and internet fundamentals 

  • The candidate should be able to troubleshoot many aspects of SCCM/Intune effectively and understand the product flow, OSD, Application management, patch management, software distribution, task sequences and logging in detail. 

  • Experience of AD and Azure AD in an enterprise environment is a plus.  

  • You have good knowledge of PowerShell / VB Script

  • You have good knowledge of MDT (Microsoft Development Toolkit)

  • You have good understanding of SQL and Reporting Services

  • Practical knowledge of Azure Active Directory and Security, IIS, networking, MDATP, and/or OneDrive will be an asset  

  • Assist the team with the management and direction setting to include setting priorities, coordinating, and the reporting of accurate and timely completion of tasks

  • Tracking and logging all activity for incidents and resolutions in ticketing system

  • Application support experience with industry standard equipment and best practices. 

 

Education and/or Experience  

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, plus 2 years of experience in technical support in an Enterprise environment is required 

  • Experience of SCCM and/or Intune is preferred 

  • Recent certification in System Center Configuration Manager or MCSE is a plus.

  • Strong organization and time management skills. 

  • The candidate will need strong technical writing skills and the ability to effectively communicate with customer managers and executives on technical issues.  

 

Language Skills                    

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English language verbally and in writing.
