Your Opportunity:

As a member of the Software Development Testing team, you will play a key role in helping to maintain the quality of the solutions that we deliver to our customers by performing ad-hoc and structured testing, creating and executing test plans, recording test results and identifying and recording defects.

Principal accountabilities:

  • Taking responsibility for the testing of KEYper products to ensure problem solving and resolution actions are effectively implemented.

  • Analysing requirements and defining test scripts to ensure full test coverage.

  • Reviewing project specifications, working with the team to understand requirements, design, implementation, acceptance criteria, user stories, and estimating stories as part of an Agile way of working.

  • Writing unit tests and automating QA testing to improve speed and coverage using C#, and SQL.

  • Executing tests and validating test results as defined in the test procedures.

  • Identifying, analyzing, and documenting any defects discovered during testing.

  • Duties may also include developing software test tools, automated test scripts, performing load tests or simulations.

  • Working with customer service and IT to address escalation issues, bugs, and support requests.

  • Ensure that opportunities to improve process efficiency are identified and communicated.

    Essential skills:

  • 3+ year's practical experience in product/software testing, quality assurance engineering, writing test plans, and testing both browser based and desktop applications.
  • Manual testing experience.
  • Knowledge of the software development and software testing lifecycles.

  • Experience with testing browser and desktop-based applications.

  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Swagger or similar software.
  • Experience of developing unit tests for C# applications.
  • Working in an Agile software development environment (Scrum).
  • Test Driven Development (TDD) Experience.
  • Experience of writing BDD scenarios against user stories in Gherkin syntax.
  • Administrative experience with Windows based Operating Systems (client and server).
  • Experience with test case management systems, such as Zephyr, HP Quality Center, etc.
  • Experience with issue management systems, such as Jira, TFS, etc.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience of testing physical products and their interaction with software applications.
  • Experience with a range of testing tools (e.g. SmartBear, SoapUI, TestCafe, Robot).
  • Hands on experience of test automation development (e.g. Selenium, Katalon Studio, TestComplete).
  • Experience of distributed software architectures.
  • Used to working in an environment where you can test against code using various source control solutions (Git etc.)
  • Experience of converting BDD scenarios into testable code (Using SpecFlow, Cucumber, etc.)
  • Proven experience using SQL Server and writing advanced SQL queries.
  • ISTQB or other relevant qualifications/experience.
