Application Support Engineer

What would you do as our Application Support Engineer

As an Application Support Engineer, you will have the opportunity to provide 3rd line support for KAM’s software and hardware platforms. Reporting to the Application Support Team Lead, you will be responsible for supporting our global divisions and customers whilst working in close alignment with our Agile Development teams.

You would also be responsible for: 

  • Developing a deep understanding of KAM’s products, solutions, and services to support technical investigations and customer scenarios.
  • Recreating customer environments by utilizing virtualization and Cloud platforms to replicate issues and test solutions.
  • Performing root cause analysis by reviewing C# source code and leveraging AI tools, with your detailed findings ensuring a smooth handover to Agile Development teams.
  • Collaborating with integration partners on API usage and troubleshoot integration issues.
  • Engaging with global support teams, contributing to technical documentation, and fostering knowledge sharing.

 

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has industry experiences working in an application support team environment bringing strong IT expertise (Administration, OS, Networking, Windows/Linux, SQL Server).
  • Has a strong analytical skills reading and assessing source code, ideally C#, including working with MSSQL databases and SQL queries.
  • Has prior exposure to ticket or issue management systems (such as Jira).
  • Is a natural problem solver with an analytical approach, keen to constantly learn about our evolving products and technologies.
  • Communicates effectively at different levels, verbal and written and is a team player with an ability to self-manage and prioritise your workload.
