Part of Global Solutions, Key and Asset Management provides solutions that deliver secure, managed access to keys and equipment at the right time and place. Our solutions drive efficiency by removing the need for manual processes and record keeping. Good key and equipment management is fundamental to assure the best customer service, safety, compliance, and workplace productivity.
Your Role in Keeping the Future in Safe Hands…
As a Graduate DevOps Engineer for the Global Solutions division of ASSA ABLOY, you will have incredible growth potential and the chance to work on cutting-edge technology. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone who is creative and has a passion for software and working collaboratively.
Our DevOps Graduate will be enrolled onto our ASSA ABLOY EMEIA (Europe, Middle East, India, and Africa) graduate programme, which includes a 3-month international secondment to another ASSA ABLOY group company. Experience the thrill of working in different market regions and cultures.
You’ll be paired with a mentor from the software team to support your career development and you'll be entrusted and empowered to make meaningful contributions to our products, platforms, and team culture.
Reporting to the DevOps Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of our DevOps strategy and develop our systems, tools, and cloud infrastructure. You will be providing the tooling and infrastructure that enable our R&D teams to build and deploy our software products. This entails automating software builds and application deployments. We have an increasing demand for cloud engineering that encompasses the monitoring, alerting, resilience, stability, and scalability.
What you will do…
- You will spend time with our QA teams to learn about the software that drives our Key and Asset Management (KAM) products.
- You will be given a real-world DevOps project to deliver within your first 6 months, with clearly defined outcomes and objectives.
- You will then work on a 3-month international secondment in Europe, embedded into an ASSA ABLOY group company in an R&D placement.
- Upon your return in the final 9 months of the graduate programme, you will embed into the KAM DevOps team where you will put into practice the skills and experience you’ve acquired along the way and deliver your final graduate project assignment.
What we expect of you…
- Given the nature of our programme, we require individuals who are ambitious, keen to develop, have excellent communication/interpersonal skills and can travel internationally, away from home, for a duration of 3 months.
- A degree, preferably in Software Engineering, though other degrees will be considered.
- A strong commitment to a career in technology and a passion for engineering.
- A self-motivated and enthusiastic outlook, with the confidence to put forward ideas and constructively challenge.
- We will only consider applications for individuals who are eligible to work in the United Kingdom - we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.
- You must also hold a UK/EU passport, permitting travel into EU countries.
What you can expect from us…
- Generous and competitive total rewards package.
- Comprehensive and career-development resources to expand your skills and maximise your potential.
- Supportive and accessible leadership team and a solid values platform that underpins who we are and how we operate.
