JDE Distribution Business Analyst

ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Americas Division implements and maintains Oracle’s J.D. Edwards (JDE) E1 9.2 ERP applications. We are currently in the process of implementing JDE across all our business units in the Americas Division: North, Central and South America.
The JDE Distribution Business Analyst will report to the Commercial Segment organization. The JDE Business Analyst will work on JDE production support issues and manage the functional aspects of change requests for the JDE install base. The JDE Business Analyst will also coordinate the development and documentation of consolidated divisional standard operating procedures for Distribution in JDE and then drive the implementation of these standards while working as a part of the various JDE enhancements and production support teams.
This position will sit onsite full-time in Berlin, CT reporting to the Director of Enterprise Applications.
What you will be doing
- Work on our divisional initiative, especially Commercial Segments, to implement consolidated and consistent standards for Distribution and Logistics in JDE
- Work within our JDE change management and support projects as a Functional Lead and SME, driving the tasks for Distribution, across concurrent projects.
- Work with and provide support to local resources and external consultants assigned to specific project teams and change management teams to follow divisional standards, delegating tasks as needed and as required
- Provide functional support for prototyping, development, user testing, assisting user training
- Participating as required in the analysis of business requirements and the development of specifications
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the business processes supported by the JDE solution
- Research special topics as required as part of team or project responsibilities
- Develop and nurture consensus and working relationships with all Enterprise Applications teams and with other business and IT teams; engender a positive, collaborative work environment for the team
- Develop and maintain appropriate documentation and owner of Branch Plant constants, Category Codes and UDC value Assignments.
What we are looking for
- Proficiency in ERP related functions; 4 year or graduate level college degree, relevant experience
- Experience with multi-national and multi-currency concepts.
- Knowledge of all JD Edwards modules that affect Distribution and Logistics.
- Be able to gather requirements from various users, write specifications that can be used by developers, test results and communicate changes to users
- Proven functional expertise with production support in JD Edwards ERP-software implementations and change management teams
- Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills; customer focused and a team player
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment; ability to stay focused on responsibilities and meet deadlines; must perform in a high exposure, dynamic, and time-sensitive environment and be able to lead change
- Ability to present ideas in business friendly and user-friendly language; demonstrated aptitude for working with, supporting, and communicating with users
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative, shared-services environment, across multiple divisions with a variety of operating environments, application software, tools and technologies
- Position requires travel, varying from 10-30% within the continental US and Canada, and Central and South America.
- Must be available to work in US, Mexico and Latin America countries.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to JDE Configurator module.
- Background and understanding of operational processes in a manufacturing environment.
- Has or will quickly acquire construction industry and product knowledge.
- A background in warehousing and an understanding of the manufacturing and distribution tool sets and processes that drive efficiency and profitability.
- Excellent English language skills, Spanish speaking skills highly desired.
- Experience with using MS SQL; ability to write SQL queries.
- Exposure to Cloud Inventory/DSI Data Collection, Gentran EDI Software, SAP Business Objects, Docpath forms printing, Imaging systems (TransformAP).
